What is Cyber Blue Line

CBL is a flexible, community-focused initiative designed to meet the needs of diverse audiences. Whether engaging with young people or working alongside businesses, the programme adapts its content to suit the context emphasising prevention for youth and protection for organisations.

The primary focus of CBL is to reach young individuals who may be at risk of engaging in criminal behaviour, educating them on the real-world consequences of their actions. Delivered at no cost, the CBL vehicle has visited schools, colleges, businesses, and community events throughout Yorkshire and the Humber.

CBL incorporates nationally accredited programmes developed by the National Cyber Security Centre, offering immersive and interactive learning experiences. Participants can test their understanding of cybercrime through engaging Kahoot quizzes, while new educational modules developed in partnership with York St John University enhance the learning journey.

Sessions are tailored to suit the audience, with durations ranging from 30 to 60 minutes depending on age and group size.

Events are delivered collaboratively by Humberside Police, West Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Police, and South Yorkshire Police. Each session is staffed by a minimum of two cyber prevent and protect officers, with up to four attending larger events ensuring effective use of resources and impactful delivery.
