Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit

Cyber & Economic Crime Unit

The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU) was established in 2009. We operate across four police force areas – Humberside, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire and regularly work with our Yorkshire and Humber Forces and national partners to tackle Serious and Organised Crime.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is clear!

To protect communities across North, South, West Yorkshire, as well as Humberside, from serious and organised crime. We focus on prevention, prosecution, and disruption, delivering a unified national response through close collaboration with Government, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies.

YHROCU delivers an increased response to tackling serious  and organised crime that transcends Force borders in the Yorkshire and Humber region. The unit is comprised of highly specialised teams of officers and staff  from the four forces. They work with partners to cover all four areas of the Government’s CONTEST strategy- Protect, Prepare, Prevent and Pursue.

Cyber Crime

Cyber Crime Unit supports organisations and the public across Yorkshire & Humber, offering expert advice based on government guidance to help defend against cyber crime.

Fraud & Economic Crime

The Fraud & Economic Crime team combats organised crime by investigating fraud, corruption, and money laundering, while strengthening partnerships and connecting local, regional, and national teams.

Workshops

YHROCU offers fully funded services at no cost to users, including presentations for staff and students, immersive exercises for leadership teams, and access to official guidance from national partners. We also signpost to trusted, police-approved resources when needed.
